About us
We are Josh and Lauren Juchems, owners of Central Illinois Grab Bars. We live in Tremont Illinois and are the parents of three beautiful daughters! Besides operating CIGB, Josh volunteers as an ambulance driver in tremont and a song leader at our church, Northfield Christian Fellowship. Lauren is the brains behind CIGB, works part-time as a nurse for OSF, and is a mostly stay-at-home mom to our kids.
Our Story
In May of 2025 Josh was contacted by a couple in a neighboring town who's mother was returning home from rehabilitation after a surgery. She needed a few grab bars installed in her bathroom and a railing to help access her garage safely (there were two steps down from the kitchen). After seeing our parents make accomodations for their aging parents this was the last straw! A quick google search revealed that no one in our area was serving this much needed niche service and Central Illinois Grab Bars was born! Our mission is to be a trustworthy and reliable partner to help our clients age and remain safe in the comfort of their own homes.
